Ad-aware 2007 - Программа для обнаружения и удаления из операционной системы \"шпионских\" модулей, появляющихся после установки программ, имеющих статус adware. Кроме этого, программа Ad-aware 2007 обеспечивает надежную защиту от кражи личных данных, мошеннических программ, программ-номеронабирателей, вредоносных программ (Malware), браузерных \"перехватчиков\" (Browser hijackers) и других шпионских программ.

При своей работе Ad-Aware сканирует оперативную память, файлы на жёстком диске и определяет в них программы-шпионы и запущенные вредоносные процессы. Также сканируется реестр операционной системы. Если в реестре обнаруживается запись, установленная вредоносной программой, то она удаляется. Работает Ad-Aware достаточно шустро, настройки просты и интуитивно понятны. Software Update 7.0.2.6 Jan 15.2008
Last week saw the release of software update 7.0.2.6 for Ad-Aware 2007. This update contains some tweaks intended to improve the internal communication between the service and the user interface in the program, which has caused problems on some systems.

Also included in the update is a fix for a bug that affected some users when they tried to remove large quantities of infections.
