Вышла новая версия 0.8.6h портабельного медиаплеера VLC Media Player Portable, работающего с различными типами аудио- и видеофайлов (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, XviD, WMV, mp3, ogg и т.д.), а также позволяющего воспроизводить DVD и VideoCD-диски.


Кроме того, программа без проблем справляется с воспроизведением интернет-трансляций и трансляций ТВ по локальной сети. VLC Media Player Portable поддерживает запуск с CD, а также с USB-устройств, выставленных в режим защиты от записи (read-only). Есть возможность быстрого апгрейда, когда новая версия просто записывается поверх предыдущей без потери пользовательских настроек.
